Terms and Conditions for Booond.org

Last Updated: March 2026

Welcome to Booond.org. By registering on our landing page or using our mobile application, you (the “User”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Nature of the Service

Booond.org is a community-driven platform designed to facilitate connections between voluntary blood donors and recipients.

  • Matching Service Only: Booond.org is a communication bridge and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • No Guarantee: We do not guarantee the availability of a donor or the successful completion of a blood donation.

2. Eligibility

  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to register as a donor. By registering, you confirm that the “Year of Birth” provided is accurate.
  • Health Responsibility: Donors are responsible for ensuring they meet the medical eligibility criteria defined by national health authorities at the time of donation.

3. Strict Prohibitions: The “No-Exchange” Rule

Booond.org is founded on the principle of altruistic, voluntary donation.

  • Zero-Tolerance for Monetization: The solicitation, offer, or acceptance of money, gifts, travel reimbursements, or any form of commercial compensation in exchange for blood is strictly prohibited.
  • Action Against Donors: If a donor is reported for asking for monetary compensation, their account will be permanently blocked and blacklisted from the platform.
  • Action Against Recipients: If a recipient is reported for offering money, acting as an unauthorized agent/middleman, or engaging in the sale of donated blood, their account will be permanently blocked.

4. Mutual Accountability & Feedback

To maintain the integrity of our community, Booond.org implements a 24-hour follow-up system.

  • Mandatory Feedback: Within 24 hours of a chat interaction, both the donor and the recipient will receive a notification to provide feedback on the interaction.
  • Reporting Misconduct: Users are obligated to report any instances of professional misconduct, harassment, or “paid donation” requests through this feedback loop or the in-app reporting tool.
  • Verification of Reports: Booond.org reserves the right to investigate reports and take final action (including permanent bans) at its sole discretion.

5. In-Person Safety & Identification

For the safety of both parties during physical meetings:

  • Mandatory Identification: Both Donors and Recipients must carry a valid Government-issued Photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar, Voter ID, Driving License) to the donation site.
  • Right to Verify: Both parties have the right to inspect the other’s ID to ensure it matches the name registered on the Booond.org app before proceeding.
  • Safe Meeting Zones: All donations and meetings must take place at licensed hospitals, government blood banks, or registered medical clinics. Booond.org strongly discourages meetings in private or non-medical settings.
  • Verification of Need: Donors are encouraged to ask for a hospital-issued “Blood Request Slip” from the recipient to verify the legitimacy of the medical need.

6. User Conduct and Privacy

  • Professionalism: All communications via the Booond in-app chat must remain respectful and focused on the donation process.
  • Contact Sharing: Personal contact details (phone numbers/emails) should only be shared once both parties feel comfortable proceeding with the donation.
  • Accuracy of Data: You agree to provide truthful information regarding your identity, location (City/District), and medical requirements.

7. Beta Phase Disclaimer

Booond.org is currently in its Beta Phase.

  • You acknowledge that features may be added, removed, or modified.
  • Service may be interrupted for technical maintenance.
  • By registering now, you agree to be contacted via email regarding beta-testing opportunities and the official app launch.

Booond.org, its founders, and affiliates are not liable for:

  • Any medical complications or health risks arising from the blood donation process.
  • Any disputes, physical harm, or financial loss resulting from interactions between users.
  • The conduct of any user, whether online or offline.
